Online SPARSH Portal After Esm Reporting Process 

There are many users who are having difficulty in starting Initiate Family Pension or Family Pension. They are not able to go to the SPARSH portal and operate Initiate Family Pension. So for this, we have brought a step-by-step process to be described here for you. How you can go to SPARSH website and start Initiate Family Pension in services.

First of all, you have to go to www.sparsh.defensepension.gov.in 

You will see a Login page. You will log in with your user id and password and two factor authentication – one is Password and another is OTP received on your phone. Then you have to go to services. 

In services, you will find a report event. In the report event, you will find Missing, Conviction, Insanity and Start Family Pension and Death Reporting. Earlier, Start Family Pension and Death Reporting were in different tabs. Now it has been unified. Now you can do both Death Reporting and Start Family Pension at one place. 

So how to do this? Let’s see. First of all, you will go to services. You will click on Start Family Pension and Death Reporting. After clicking, you will see these four tabs on your left. Reporter Details, Claim Details, Claimant Details and Identification.

First of all, you will see Reporter Details. Details of the person who is reporting. Details of the person for whom he is reporting. Details of the person for whom he is reporting. 

Now, you have to give the details of the person for whom he is reporting. You will click on services. In services, you will see services like Army, Navy, Air Force and Civilians. In this, you will select the services of your pensioner. 

After selecting, you will go to Unique Identifier. In Unique Identifier, you will get options like Cadet Number, Bank Account Number, Personal Number, SPARSH PPO Number and Regimental Number. 

In this, you will select any option and put its value in the Personal Number. Then your name of pensioner will come automatically. So these were the details of our pensioner. Now, Reporter Details. The person who is reporting. The reporter can be a family member or an outsider. You will put the details of the reporter who is reporting. In that, your name, middle name, last name is not required. If you want to put, you can put. It is not mandatory. 

Relation is also not mandatory. You can put it or not. Put the Reporter’s mobile number. Since the OTP will come on the same mobile number, you have to give the reporter’s mobile number. There will be a button below Validate and Proceed. You have to click on it. If you click on it, you will get the details of the reporter. The OTP will come on the mobile number which you have given. You have to enter the OTP here. Verify and Proceed. 

You will get a pop-up. You will get a pop-up that your OTP has been verified. After that, you will click on OK. You will click on the Next button. If you click on the Next button, a screen will open. In which you have to choose between these two. 

Report Death and Start Family Pension. Division of Family Pension due to Non-Supporting of Children. Whatever your reason is, you will select it. After selecting, you will proceed. In this way, Report Death and Start Family Pension. Division of Family Pension due to Non-Supporting of Dependents by Existing Family Pension. In this, you have to select your suitable option. After selecting, click on Next. For example, we clicked on Report Death and Start Family Pension. Please provide details of members who are no longer eligible for family pension. You have to give details of those family members who are not eligible for family pension. 

Click on Add and give their details. If Report Death and Start Family Pension is selected, click on Add button and provide input of Disqualification. As I told you, you will select your family member. And you will disqualify them from your pension. In this, members not eligible for family pension. In this, you have to select Disqualification. Which family member you have to remove. And you have to select Reason. And you have to upload related document as PDF in Attachment. For example, you have given name of spouse.

 In Reason for Disqualification, you have to select Death, Missing, Change in Marital Status, Income and Age. In this, you have to select Reason and attach related document. And click on Add. For example, we have given Reason for Disqualification, Missing. If it is Missing, then you have to upload Date of Missing, Date of FIR, Upload FIR Copy, Upload Indemnity Bond. You have to upload these documents. And click on Add. This is an example of Missing or Convicted. In this, you have to select required documents. For example, Reason for Disqualification, Change in Marital Status. 

In Marital Status, you have to select options. Remarried, Divorced, Eloped, Married, Single, Void Marriage or Widowed. In this, you have to select options and click on Add. If it is Remarried, then you have to select Date of Remarriage, Supporting Children, Income and Marriage Certificate. In this way, you have to upload these documents. And this will be the Reason for Disqualification. And in this way, your request will be generated. So, in this way, you have to follow your options. For example, Change in Marital Status. If it is Eloped, then you have to select required documents.

So, in this way, you have to follow your options. After providing input of Disqualification and Reason for Disqualification details, Reporter has to click on Add button. Click on Add button. And Disqualification details will be shown in a grid below. For example, Service Pensioner, Reason for Disqualification, Related Attachment, etc. These will be shown in Claim Details. Next, we will click on Claimant Details. Claimant Details will ask for details of the person who is claiming. In Claimant Details, it will ask you whether you want to claim for Family Pension. Click on Yes or No. Are you the same as Reporter? In the first tab, we asked for the details of Reporter. Reporter can be a family member or an outsider. If you are a family pensioner, then click on Yes.

If you are a family pensioner, then click on No. If you clicked on Yes, then you automatically filled Reporter details in Claimant Details. If you are a family pensioner, then click on No. click on the link and fill in your details like first name, middle name, last name, relation, mobile number, here relation is mandatory because you are a family member, you are a claimant, and mobile number, email, date of birth, Aadhar number, PAN address, all these things you have to provide. 

After this, you have selected option that will lead to stoppage of pension after approval of the service request. After this, if you submit, then this kind of pop-up will come for confirmation that you have selected option so that there will be stoppage of pension. Then you will click on yes. After this, you will get, are you a joint account holder with the pensioner? If you are a joint account holder, then yes. If not, then no. Do you wish to take pension in joint bank account? Yes or no. Do you want to raise identification? Yes or no. You will click on it as per your wish. You will have to provide all the information of the bank account number. You will have to upload a scanned copy of a cancelled cheque.

 Do you want to raise identification? Yes or no. After this, you will submit. If you submit, then your service request will be generated and your family pension will be initiated.
