Ministry of defence has initiated Project NAMAN for veterans and soldiers. This project has been aimed to provide help and support for the a program by the Indian Army to support veterans, defense pensioners and their families. The project uses the SPARSH digital pension system to provide pension services, banking, and e-governance at Common Service Centres (CSCs).
What is does Project NAMAN
- Provides pension services, banking, and e-governance at CSCs
- Creates entrepreneurial opportunities for veterans and their families
- Provides care and support to veterans and their families
- Extends services to the surrounding localities of military stations
How does Project NAMAN works
- The project uses the SPARSH digital pension system
- CSCs are managed by Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs) who are selected from among veterans or their next of kin
- HDFC Bank provides the IT infrastructure for the CSCs
- Local military stations provide the required infrastructure and facilities

Financial assistance for education upto Rs.01 lakh per year to Ex-Serviceman children/widows from class 1 to graduation
Financial assistance for daughter’s marriage upto Rs.01 lakh per daughter
Financial assistance to 100% disabled children of Ex-Serviceman, Rs.3000/- per month
